About Goreville High School

Goreville High School consists of grades 9 through 12 and is located in Goreville, IL - home of Ferne Clyffe State Park, Lake of Egypt, and located in the heart of the Shawnee National Forest.  Goreville is a small, rural community located four miles from the intersection of I-57 and I-24 on State Route 37 in Johnson County. The school covers approximately 68 square miles in northern Johnson County as well as northeastern Union County. It is comprised primarily of the communities of Tunnel Hill, Lake of Egypt, and the Village of Goreville
